Our Story

Like many farm families, our story begins with making room for potential on the family farm. In 2002, Brett returned home from college looking for an opportunity in agriculture that would provide him the flexibility to farm with his dad and grandpa.

He found the right fit in 2003 with purchasing a local Precision Planting business. The MeterMax stand was set up in the old hog shed on the home farm, and a business was born.

As technology became a larger part of Precision Planting, Brett’s interest in precision agriculture also grew. Ron’s extensive experience in traditional farming, paired with their commitment to incredible customer service, has continued to build a following of growers who recognize value in the solutions offered.

Just as on the farm, recent growth of the business has created the opportunity for more efficiencies and specialized relationships. In 2015, we built our shop, our team grew, and we officially became Johnson Precision, LLC. We could not be more excited about the future of the agriculture industry, and we look forward to working with our growers for many years to come.
